Well, that was easy…

I just got a message from Apple:

Dear HandyApp,

Your application has been approved for sale on the App Store. Pending any application availability issues, your app will be Ready for Sale and live on the App Store within 24 hours.

And it is worth noting that watching the yellow dot (waiting for approval) in iTunes Connect didn’t do me any good at all.

So, 24 hours and you’ll be able to buy the Merit Badges requirements app in the App Store!

Now on to the next project – my son’s Pinewood Derby® tonight! (Yes, Pinewood Derby® is a Registered trademark of the Boy Scouts of America.)

  1. Congratulations! cool stuff. Have you considered going with an LLC and a dba? sounds like your a sole prop. w/dba. The LLC would give a bit of protection without have a real impact on tax complications. (IANAL or an accountant :-) )

    Thanks, Dave!

I’m not sure on an LLC – I did the sole proprietorship w/ DBA because it was a quick & easy way to get started, and I figured I could do other business organizations later, but Apple doesn’t let you change from “Your Name” to “Corporate Name” very easily (or at all).

I’ll have to look at the costs & benefits of an LLC, but it sounds like it’s nearly as simple as a sole proprietorship…
